AWARENESS enables you to recognize that others have faced the same challenges that you face, and that they have been successful, and may had fewer skills, capabilities, or energy than you. Still, they overcame obstacles, and ultimately, triumphed.

If you drive home from work the same way everyday, month after month, year after year, it may be difficult for you to even consider taking another route, unless trafic is so bad that you'll try anything!! If you are involved in the same exercise regimen or lack thereof, chance are that you are going to continue on the same path. Alarmingly, research also shows that if you continue living by these habits long enough, your potential for creativity literally shuts down.

If you begin to fill the jar with the pebbles and sand, you run the risk of not being able to get all the rocks into the jar. Now suppose you put the rocks in first, followed by some of the smaller pebbles, and then sprinkle in the sand. Everything fits into the jar.
